 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub is an American comedian, actress and activist. Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents She began her career as a child actress just after emigrating to United States. From 2013 to 2016 she worked as the AT&T saleswoman Lily Adams, and since 2020, she has been the AT&T saleswoman Lily Adams. She rose to fame for her role in television commercials. Her commercial appearances were not her only activity she appeared in. She was also a part of the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She also had the role of a regular character in the NBC drama This Is Us (2016)-2017. After being featured in the unaired TV pilot for New Warriors, Vayntrub also is the voice of Squirrel Girl in Marvel Rising. Vayntrub was Jewish born in Tashkent in the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Her parents and her were exiled from antisemitism by the age of two. They moved to West Hollywood. Her family's financial troubles caused her to be a part of Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of 5. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School. But, she quit her sophomore year, and subsequently obtained a GED. Following that she went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from University of California San Diego. She studied improv with the Upright Citizens Brigade.
